Feb 29, 2016, Embest’s parent company Element14 has launched the new Raspberry Pi 3 at the Shard in London with support from the Raspberry Pi Trading team. Compared to Pi2, Raspberry Pi 3 has a great improvement on performance; it was based on Broadcom Quad-core 64bit processor, and has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth which make pi3 the first out of box ‘IoT’ ready Raspberry Pi. Besides, pi3 has the same size and interface as Pi2, so all cases and add-on boards designed for Pi2 will be fully compatible on the hardware.
